Iran ‘Retouch’ to enter Tribeca Filmfest

Iranian short film ‘Retouch’ has been admitted to the Tribeca Film Festival, US.

Iranian short film ‘Retouch’ establishes first international presence by joining the Tribeca Film Festival, US.

The film directed by Kaveh Mazaheri has won Crystal Simorgh for Best Short Film at Fajr Film Festival as well as grabbing the best short title from Iran Cinema Celebration.

Produced by the Iranian Young Cinema Society, “Retouch” is about a young woman whose husband dies before her eyes and she just observes the tragic scene.

The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 and the event is set to be held April 19-30 in New York.

“A platform for independent filmmaking, creative expression and immersive entertainment, Tribeca supports emerging and established voices, discovers award-winning filmmakers, curates innovative and interactive experiences, and introduces new technology and ideas through panels, premieres, exhibitions, and live performance,” the festival’s call for entries read.
